- helping define the parameters of the project
- conducting ten hours of audio-recorded interviews
- identifying additional topics for the author to write about
- transcribing of interviews and additional written material
- research and fact checking
- crafting the transcripts and written material into an engaging first-person narrative
- helping the client choose images to be included and writing captions.
- taking additional photographs and the back cover author photo
- obtaining permissions
- scanning and retouching photos and memorabilia
- designing the book and cover
- obtaining an ISBN
- contracting and liaising with the printer on behalf of the client
- helping the client organize two book launches
- developing promotional material. This included four media releases for specific audiences, a newspaper space ad, and a promotional poster
After publication, the client wrote,
